This site has its merits in its purpose as a forum for discussion of varying topics on hitting.
Topics you can agree or... agree to disagree on.
However, when you have people submitting video clips and or asking for help with "so and so's" swing and then any one of us gives that person "piece meal" advice...well...I personally feel that is inefficient and unprofessional.
Any one "specific" mechanical break down likely was a result of other preceeding glitches. Are we really helping a hitter by providing band aid responses to singular mechanical aspects?
Any swing is a series of movements that should be broken down into progressions. I find it negligible to believe anyone can provide adequate responses on this forum without providing a means for that person to "apply" your piece meal answers. Especially since I don't know how you could verify the advice really was the solution?
The fault as I see it, lies not completely in those responding (who just want to help) as much as it does with those who really believe they can be taught a perfect swing over the internet and...by simply changing "one" or two things?
