fastpitch bat weight

I recently attended an equipment exhibition
where you could ask questions of the
manufacturer's representative. The Worth rep
informed me that the weights of the bats
currently being used in women's fastpitch
ranged from -11 to -9 .I asked if they made
any bats heavier than that using the same
alloys as are used in the -11to -9 models and
the answer was no.I was also told that of
course heavier aluminum bats were made but
the additional weight(different alloy) would not
allow the ball to travel farther or even as far as
the -9 model.Is that the case?Are the
manufacturer's adding the juice(differnt
alloys/trampoline effect) to the bats(-11/-9) that
t hey don't have in the -3 alminum bats used
by the boys? Can someone explain the above
questions to me with the following rational in
mind.I wanted to get a heavier bat for my
daughter(rotational hitter) who can handle
more weight without losing much if any
batspeed .I was thinking in terms of a -7 bat.
rather than the -9 she currently uses. Thanks
for the help.
