Zig,
That was a very informative answer. I started this discussion because I wanted to get an idea what size bat my daughter should be using. I have learned that feel isn't always the best gauge. She is 5'7", 120#, strong legs (soccer, basketball), not real strong upper body, good rotational swing. I was thinking 33" 26 or 25oz. I would greatly respect your opinion since you have seen so many swings and have taken out alot of the myths concerning swing physics with good scientific data. She will be playing with one of the top notch U18 teams in the state this summer so will be facing really good pitching.
I was happy to see your comment on batting averages, how true.
