Re: Shortening the swing

Posted by: Teacherman () on Thu Jun 5 11:12:32 2003

I've been told to shorten my swing so I can get around on a D-1 Fastball. How can I do this and what does it mean? I have a lot of power but often do not make contact. I have to put the ball in play more to increase my playing time.

Although they work together, think about shortening the time between decision and contact versus shortening the length of the swing. They are probably the same thing. But I have better success teaching a shortened time v a shortened distance.
