inside pitch kickin' my butt

Hello to all,
I'm having trouble with the tight inside pitch. I don't seem to pick it up very well. I'm just wondering, could it be because the guy throwing b.p. to me is a 3/4, side arm thrower? He's right handed, and i'm left handed. I don't feel like i'm lunging, but the ball just seems to get there twice as fast, and i don't pick it up until it's too late. Any suggestions?

P.S. I'm hitting everything else just fine, and mostly center to right field.
