perhaps coach tom was a bit tawdry ("...duh...") and mark h. kinda scolded you ("...spend a little time this winter reading.") but i take exeption to your remark.
i love baseball, i love to coach, and i think this "...stuff..." IS important.

to teach is to impart knowledge. my opinion of you is that you have too cavalier an attitude for a very responsible position. parents have entrusted you with their children who want to learn the game. perhaps reading a bit more at this, and website's similar, would be in the best interest of the kids you "...teach...". do your job.
