This would be my nomination for understatement of the year. Someone said that on the other side of complexity is simplicity, but it sure takes some careful reading and thinking to start "getting" what these guys are talking about. FJ, the good news is, you have just enough time between now and opening day next spring to do the serious research and learning that every coach owes his players but hardly any actually do.

For those that are interested in more discussions on this subject, there have been some humdingers over in the hitting conference on Fastpitch Forum. Good stuff for anyone, but especially those who are interested in how all this relates to fastpitch softball. Of course then there is Epstein and Setpro, etc. Just enough to keep you busy for the next few months. lol

In FJ's defense, he is closer to having an understanding than the average youth coach. Too many of them think they came out of little league with all the knowledge needed to teach kids how to hit like Ted Williams. FJ may not yet realize the size of his question, but at least he realizes there is a question. As for myself, each time I think I get it, Jack or Tom or Mike or someone says something that deepens my understanding. Thanks guys.
