Ferroli never played pro ball, Williams played in a different era, and I'll bet my entire signing bonus that you never played professional baseball.

The best players in the game use the whole field. Pujols, A-Rod, Manny, Bonds, etc...

It's simple math really. If you aim to drive a ball to dead center and your late, your in the opposite field gap. A little early, pull side gap. More margin for error. A pull hitter is limited because he brings foul territory into play.

I get paid to drive in runs, so yes I will try to pull more pitches than a table setter, but attempting to pull every pitch is just plain ignorant. Try to pull a 91 mph slider on the outside black and we'll see how long you play this game. Hell, you wont have many bats left after the first month either.
