Any recommendations on the correct bat length for a 12 year old, 5'4", 100 lbs. with very, very long arms (great for basketball!).

He has been using a 32/22 last season, an inch longers and a little heavier than what he was used too, but I think it's important he gets used to a heavier bat. I wondering if he should have a 31". I get too many opinions from different coaches about length & weight.

His mechanics are pretty much there (needs work on timing) but I'm wondering if a 32" versus a 31" would make a difference in hitting the ball properly? Thanks for any help.
