inside the ball

i recently noticed yet another definition of the term, and i suspect that what hudgens said recetly on his site is what many coaches mean by this term...he said that the term means to literally strive to hit the inside part of the ball and that this will result in a "short swing"....

however, most homeruns are hit to the pull field, and i guarantee you that s bsll thst id pulled down the left field line was contacted on the OUTSIDE part of the ball, not the inside....
