To hit the inside of the ball, the bat-head must be trailing behind the hands in the contact zone. I just failed to see how trying to have the hands leading in the zone enhances the swing. --- I do see some negatives that would occur with this vision during initiation. That is a prescription for a linear hand-path.

Your response more indicates your lack of comprehension of the written word than my lack of understanding of the swing.

If a hitter trys to hit the outside of the ball on every swing (which is what I was referring to in my statement about amateurs and their flaws) how effective will he be on the inside pitch? the outside pitch? the middle pitch?

Not very because his "outside the ball" swing will not allow him to make necessary adjustments to pitch location. Attempting to swing inside the ball will allow him to hit every location well as he learns to adjust to location. He will be able to hit the outside pitch opposite field and he'll be able to pull the inside pitch and keep it fair ala Barry Bonds.
