>>> At hitting.com Dave says you should have full extension. As a matter of fact so does my coach and all the stuff I have read and seen on videos. All the stuff is authered by professionals who have played pro ball or are in the Big Leagues. I guess my question is what Major league organizaion are you all affiliated with? It seems taht you think everyone else is wrong. I have an open mind but I would appreciate you detailing your credentials. Thanks so much! <<<

Hi Mike

Welcome to the site. -- I have no affiliation with any Major League organization. The credentials offered to those that come to this site is based on the creditability of the information it presents. Not on any personal achievements I may have attained. The site presents the batting principles that evolved from my study of how energy is transferred in the baseball swing.

The batting principles contained in the rotational swing model presented here do contradict much of the linear principles presented by those with Major League credentials. That is the reason a discussion board was added along with the site information. Anyone can study the hitting mechanics offered, then challenge their credibility on the discussion board. --- If we can’t stand the heat – we will get out of the kitchen.

Mike, just one question regarding your topic “Extension.” --- As the hands are extending out farther and farther toward full extension … Is the swing getting shorter and more compact?

Jack Mankin
