Fixing a "Chop Swing"

Posted by: Sandy Bailey (sbailey@suncor.com) on Tue Mar 8 09:33:24 2011

Hello,

My seven year old has a "chop swing," in which he swings down dramatically at pitches/tees/etc. I have been using tees, soft toss, dry swings, and pitching machines to help correct it, but I'm spinning a bit. Any tips on correcting this swing flaw?

Also, any drills for getting young kids to keep their eye on the ball?

Thanks,

Sandy
