in response i asked "jack...what do you see as the difference in "hooking the hand path" and "snapping the wrists" ? (but snapping the wrists WITHOUT rolling the wrists)...."

Extending or “jabbing” the lead-hand toward the pitcher causes a longer sweeping hand-path though contact. The hook in the hand-path occurs as the lead-shoulder pulls the lead-hand back (away from the pitcher). This has nothing to do with “wrist-snap”. The wrist serves more as hinges than to actually generate bat speed.
