Re: little leager's late swing

Posted by: () on Mon Jun 10 18:31:18 2002

I am not a baseball player but my son really digs the sport and I enjoy watching the games(As leangthy as they are...walk,walk,walk, etc.) As of now he has not made contact with the ball. He is swinging way late and I am looking for a way to help him since the coaches are more worried about the guys that can hit. Is there an exercise that I could work with him to become not a slugger, but just to make contact. Any help would be great!!

In coaching little league the last few years the only reason for late swings is (a) poor technigue or (b)lack of muscle power to create swing speed. 9 out 10 kids it is technique. Study the sight, buy the tapes and do the drills. The drills will solve A and or B.
