Bats left, throws right
That's my son's situation. I don't know much about this combo but am told it's a slight advantage and worth developing (he's 13). I'm also told he'll have struggles with mechanics because his stronger right side will overpower his left in a swing. He's just awful against lefty pitchers. Something his coach says isn't unusual because of the angle the ball appears to travel (left eye dominant if that matters). To which I asked why aren't righty batters facing righty pitchers faced with the same problem? They're more used to seeing it he says. Any tips?
