I had also been taught this and see that it is the topic of conversation on many hitting boards. In reality, however, every study conducted has shown that there is no correlation between the dominant eye sitting on a stance side and an increase in ability. A recent extensive South African study on cricket players, for example, found no coorelation. Myth busted?
