At this point the upper/lower body is LOADED. Hip begin rotation when the lead heel hits the ground. The slot VERY IMPORTANT. It serves two purposes: 1) Staying inside the ball. 2) Slotting that elbow as the shoulders begin rotation and that rear knee hinges gets batspeed EARLY in the swing, breaking that initial inertia of the bat. Try it. If you observe Bonds and Williams do it, isn't it a good idea to try it.
