The balance point is the zipper if you have no bat and extend both arms in opposite directions.
When you put both arms and a bat to one side then the body is out of balance. When you turn the barrel around and turn the shoulders the inertia of that apparatus exerts an out of balance pull
You must shift the cog to the inside of the lead leg nearer the lead hip to ge balanced at launch IMHO
The shift should occur as the barrel turns back on plane ane the lead leg opens to accept the weight.
It is hard to TEACH shift. It seems to work to tell a kid to move the hinge angle forward during the rotation and they shift to accomplish this goal rather than think shift.
