Fair enough. Thanks for the response. The taper grips feel so much better in my hands, I was just wondering why they are not more common, esp. on softball bats. I think I might try it on my BP bat, if it doesn't feel good I can just re-replace the grip.

Ha, ha. Funny, you asking ME about softball bats. I haven't the foggiest. I wish I could get the answers to those questions and more. I found another softball BBS, and posted the question "What is the difference between fast/slow picth bats?" The response I got? "That is the dumbest question seen on this board" Nice, huh? It seems that site is frequented by southern softballers (GA, mostly) who spend a lot of time and text talking trash and insulting other teams, players, wives, etc.

I'm really looking for all the help and tecniques I can find in an effort to hit better next season. I will continue to come back here, maybe the discusions will get more "open" as time goes on.
