Hi Jima

Sorry you are wrong. The best rotational hitters hit the outside pitch the other way with power by allowing it to get deep. Why do you think that the pitchers throw off speed pitches to the outside of the plate. Trying to get the hitter to hit the ball out front of the plate.

All hitters want ot hit a mistake because that is the easiest pitch to hit but the best hitters learn to hit most pitches by using the entire field of play. Ever notice griffey hit the ball the other way for a HR or maybe just a screaming line drive single or double? If you only hit mistakes your batting average is on life support in the major leagues.

Pitch reconization and location early are very important qualities for the best hitters and in order to hit the ball the hardest and most consistant you need to keep your swing the same whether it is an inside pitch or an outside pitch.

IMHO making your swing consistant and repeatable is one of the most important parts of hitting.
