Important June post -grc & Major Dan
Hi All
Below is a an important June post made by grc and Major Dan regarding "throwing the hands." I am re-posting it in July because of the important statement it makes.

>jack......my biggest fear of "throwing the hands" is that you can "throw" too soon, letting the hands get ahead of the hips and the bat be d in a linear direction........but.......suppose the hips have initiated their rotation and one could find a cue by which they could "throw" the hands AFTER the hips have started rotation, then i would see little chance of the hands "overtaking" the hips.......what do you think?.......respectfully, grc............>
GRC,I have a new way of looking at it but Iwill wait for an answer from Jack 1st.
I too await Jack's reply. IMO, you don't need a cue to '"throw" the hands AFTER the hips have started rotation' - the upper body rotation will throw the hands for you. When the swing is done correctly this happens without cues, without attempt - the hook at the end of the circular hand path -- bottom hand torque -- throws the bat head at the ball.
Most likely 'trying' to do this will throw it all off

Having a good understanding of what Major Dan has just stated is crucial in developing good rotational mechanics. I find his words require no addition.
