I'm looking to get a bat so I could play recreationally. I played little league when I was younger so I'm trying to get back into playing some baseball.

Use a 34 inch 31 to 32 ounce aluminum bat. You may have to choke up an inch. Since you are not tall, the 34 inch bat should be a good fit. (Practicing with a wood bat 34 inches (32 to 34 ounces) should improve your swing of the aluminum bat.
