Does anyone think hitting a lot off of a tee can hurt your mechanics?

I doubt if hitting off the tee is hurting your swing. Anybody's swing will get "rusty" when they don't see live pitching for a while; that's just normal. Timing is such a big part of hitting, and it seems to disappear so quickly when not used regularly, that it's the layoff from live hitting, not the use of the tee, that causes your hitting to not be at its best.

Hitting off a tee can be beneficial in lots of ways: grooving muscle memory on changes you are trying to incorporate; working on increasing bat speed; experimenting on possible changes; working on hitting specific pitch locations; just having a little fun; etc. I wouldn't stop using the tee.
