bat size/ weight/ manufactuor

My son is moving from teeball to pitching maching league in about a month. He's about 4'3" or 4'4" and about 50-55 lbs. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts about size and weight for the pitching machine at his age and size.

He currently has an Easton Havoc 27/14.5 that he is borrowing from a cousin. I put a rubber choke on it and it cuts about an inch off the bat. He hits the same with or without it I've noticed. I know the 2006 models are coming out and was considering the Easton models Havoc 27/14 or Stealth 28/15. I'm also condiering the new TPX Dynasty 28/15.

Does one brand give better performance than the other? If I get the 27' will he outgrow it by next year or am I safer in getting the 28" Has anyone heard reviews or have an opinion on the models? Thanks
