Hey Frank,

My youngest son is 6 and also in machine pitch this year, and about the same size as your son (4'3" and 50 lbs). He uses a 27/15 Worth bat, which was handed down from my two older sons who also used this bat. They grow out of bats so quickly I wouldn't recommend putting a lot of money into a bat at this age. Find something cheap since these little guys don't generate enough bat speed to take advantage of advanced metals and designs the bat manufacturers put out today.
