How do you tell when a bat goes dead?

Posted by: Andrew Miller (dark.knight1312@gmail.com) on Tue Apr 19 18:57:54 2005

The title says it all. I own a 32/29 easton triple 8 bat and me and my friends believe it is dead. (we used the knob tap technique and it make a very dull sound and vibrates alot) but on the other hand my dad thinks its not dead and gets upset when i don't use it. So, what is a sure way to tell if a bat is dead?
