weight ratio/wood type

I'm a 38 year old senior league player who is having a bit of trouble hitting. The bat selection our team owns isn't doing it for me, so I've decided to find my ideal bat. I'm 5'11" tall, 150lbs. I've been using a 33" maple, but do not like the feel. I'm willing to spend $ to get the right bat. I'm interested in hickory or birch. My question is what is the right ratio for me, can I get this bat in hickory or birch, and if so, where? Thanks!
