I would wonder if anybody could suggest a drill which would promote working the top hand more during the swing.Instructor says too much bottom hand and not enough top hand.

My thinking is that the top hand is more and more along for the ride approaching contact with a hooking handpath.What makes the top hand swing around the bottom hand quickly through contact is the continued bottom hand connection/"BHT"/shape of handpath controlled by bottom hand lead arm.

The "feel" of the top hand can be tricky/variable,but I would think you would want it more loose and turning quickly as opposed to feeling like you have to push with it if you keep your shoulders turning until contact.
