Here is the proof.

Pay attention.

Look at the barrel blur rearward in each of these swings at 'go'.

http://www.recruit.hittingillustrated.com/RunningStart.htm

The only way the barrel can do that is for the hands to swivel....for the hands to torque the barrel rearward. They don't go to the ball. They don't push through contact. They swivel. No other force....no shoulder turn....no untilting....nothing....can make the barrel go that direction AND make it blur at "go"....simultaneously.

And, here is my challenge to you.

The only way to learn what is going on in high level swings is to try to duplicate the movement. I challenge you to make a video clip of yourself duplicating Pujol's or Bond's or Chipper's (any of them really) barrel direction and speed (blur) at "go".

You will have to torque the handle rearward immediately. You will have to "spend" immediately. It is the only way.

Check.

There is only one "go" in a swing. It's ridiculous to think there is more than one. It's also ridiculous to think "go" is an extended period of time. So.......to make the barrel blur rearward at "go" you have to torque the handle immediately on decision.

This makes it impossible to torque the hand again....a second time.....to push through contact. Because if you duplicate the pros barrel path and speed, you'll realize you've already spent the hands. You've thrown the barrel. Instantly. And there is no way to "push through contact".

Only one torque of the handle. It's at "go".

Check Mate

Will you be honest and try to duplicate the swing? Prove it with video.
