question for Jack or anbody else about shoulder rotation and THT

I have two questions for the experts on this board. I have been using jack's principles for awhile now and was wondering about two things. One is on trying to teach front shoulder rotation with BHT back to the catcher and THT with pulling the top hand rearward back to the catcher. I notice when i am working with my son he seams to get the que of rotating the front elbow back to the catcher better than the front shoulder because you can rotate the front shoulder back without any power transfered necessary by just turning the shoulders and not allowing the power to transfer to the bat but i notice when i say to rotate the front elbow back to the catcher it seems to help with more sholder rotation and power and he keeps his front elbow tight to the body as it rotates rearward without his elbow bending or running away from his back elbow. Also on THT when i try to get him to apply THT with his hands he seems to try to do it in his wrist tip the bat too much where when i tell him to use more of his back elbow to start the rearward acceleration by loading up, back and around to his side with his back elbow he gets that circular bat path by using his elbow more than his hands doing it per say. i just know by him focusing with his hands he tips the bat to much and uses his wrist too much and does not load properly with this elbow like he should. Thought?
