For the same reason we see kids doing anything incorrectly, they weren't taught properly. But,in my mind that doesn't mean filling their heads with complexities that would boggle their minds. They have an ugly swing due to lack of bare bone fundamentals. You don't need to fill anyones head with scientific dialogue in order for them to succeed. I mean for crying out loud, it's difficult enough for an adult to have to keep all that "stuff" in their heads re. swing preparation, never mind a kid!

I agree with Tom and Teacherman. THis stuff is important to know if you are teaching. A good teacher will use a minimum of cues, etc. to create the correct movements. The knowledge is behind the scenes.
I've also seen bad instructors give 10-15 'things to do' for each swing - as the intro in the first lesson! and if that wasn't bad enough, a lot of them were wrong.
But it takes a lot of understanding on the instructor's part to keep it simple for the student AND create a solid swing.
