Sitting to hit may add some power to the swing. Using the legs to push off the ground could possibly contribute to arm, shoulder, torso torque. The power hitting female golfer Laura Davies is up her toes at contact. It certainly would be an advanced technique. The trade off might be excessive head movement.

The kids today have model swings and they just keep getting longer and better. All through video instruction. Having coached little league the last 5 years I have seen some pretty good young athletes. Yet only 1 or 2 a year are great hitters. My son should be the best hitter in the league this year despite his small stature. He was #2 as an 11 yr old. Proper instruction based around Jack's teachings is the key.

Our kids don't even play little league anymore, because of the poor talent base. Do disrespect to you or your Son, I'm sure he's a great player, but push him to play where he is not the best player. Best Players should only be seen at the highest level, everything else should be challenging. We play older teams now because of this.

I agree that Little League is not that competitive. We have played tons of travel soccer and basketball. He loves to compete but he also likes to have fun and be "the man" once in a while.
