Hitting

Posted by: Scott (Svatter@HitStreak.com) on Tue Sep 4 20:44:40 2007

I happen to look at a lot of sites with info on the hitting mechanics. Why does it seem like the emphasis is always on being "right" and "wrong." I think it has been proven for years that hitting a baseball is not black and white. There is no clear cut "right" and "wrong" way to hit a baseball. For every one theory, there is multiple examples to prove it "wrong" or different AND to prove it "right" and different. Can't their just be pros and cons of each style and philosophy and more emphasis on finding what works best for each individual player? I see it way too often that every coach or instructor wants to put their "fingerprint" on the player and he constantly struggles with new ideas and concepts.
