There is nothing at all wrong with choking up on the bat. Some of the bast hitters of all time choked up. Many hitters in the Big Leagues choke up with two strikes for many different reasons.

Much like the way some spread out their feet a bit more with two strikes. They make a physical adjustment to remind themselves to stay short and battle with their personal two strike mindset.

Approach with less than two strikes is and should be different than the approach with two strikes. (That is if you are trying to help your team win)
