Re: Baseball camps

Are there any hitting camps in the oklahoma, kansas, or misouri area that you would recommend for a high school age player? Has anyone on this board attended one that was good?

thanks, Dave <<<

Hi Dave

Two of my sons attended the Mickey Owen’s Baseball Camp (a few miles south of Springfield) over 25 years ago. The camp is out in the country, so there is just baseball for a couple weeks. They get well-rounded instruction in all phases of the game. But you must keep in mind that regardless of what camp your son attends, there is a 98% chance that all batting instruction will be linear. Rotational mechanics or rotational transfer mechanics, may be taught at some Camps, but I am not aware of any. If any of our Posters know of any Camps, hopefully they will pass the name and location on to you.
