the anti fence drill

Posted by: fat pete () on Mon Apr 11 21:45:09 2011

hey everyone >I was thinking that the fence drill is one of the worst drill there is .
it teaches bat head drag.so how about the anti fence drill? stand across from a fence or net same as you do with the fence drill . hold the bat with two hands in the launch postion bring the rear elbow in a tight v along side of the ribbs. then rotate the body shoulders.and rear elbow from the v to the L postion and have the top of the bat head hit the fence .this might help someone understand how to take the hands and bat head in a circular path.and also show that when a batter takes a circular hand path. the bat head gets into a good hitting postion sooner. so a circular hand path brings the bat head quicker to the ball.
