Hi CJ,

It's not the rotational mechanics.

Are they lining up their door-knock knuckles when they hold the bat? That will get rid of a hole.

I would throw in a drill where you toss them a tennis ball on a hard surface and have them hit the ball after the first bounce.

It's excellent practice on a driveway at home too.
