A army of pitchers to throw batting practice is the best. lefties, righties, sidearms, junkballers But in real world thats not always possible .Thats why I belive a pitching machine is a good aid.For timing puposes the machines that you can see the ball roll down ito the machine are better.Some times it ok to just get up and rip pitch after pitch, at about the same speed and same location . But to really improve a batter some times should work on differt things.example keeping the hands back closing the front shoulder in the stride, balance,And in the commercial places that offer machines that have different speeds make use of them.
