Jack, could we think of the swing as starting with shoulder rotation followed by pulling the the bat with both hands, as if there were a track like those used for a garage door to slide on. Lets just say that track would be positioned behind the batters head in an arc towards the catcher and back to the pitcher. would that motion cause the rear elbow to lower,the the rear forearm to roll and accelerate the bat head rearward and also keep the hands in front of the rear elbow. I dont mean throwing the hands at the ball but just pulling the bat at the handle with both hands assisted by shoulder rotation.
