I know many players who talked themselves into slumps. while some players seem to relax and have the ability to let their talent take over.They play smooth and relaxed. Yogi
Berra supposedly said you cant think and hit at the same time.
Jim Thome said he doesnt like to cloud his mind up with a lot of thoughs at bat.Many other succesful major leaguers have said the same thing.I do belive the dumb player as you call them or relaxed player practices just as hard as most others they seem to do it more efficently and have more fun while at practice or playing in a game.
