Position in th Batters Box

Posted by: Alan () on Mon Aug 26 13:23:09 2002

This is open for discussion. In my opinion a batter should find a spot in one position of the batters box and stay there regardless of the speed of the pitcher. I feel this is a timing issue and think that the batter actually dials there swing into, the distance from the release point from the pitcher to the contact zone. I feel it is counter productive for coaches to ask their batters to shift forward and backwards in the box.
