Happy Gilmore Swing

The last couple of weeks I have started to use what I call the Happy Gilmore Swing. I take a couple of steps into the swing such as fastpich women use. I have been able to go to the opposite side of the field an have had an increase in power. I am wondering if anyone else uses this type of swing and any pointers they may have to make it even better.
