If they are well coached, develop their skill through invdividual work and give 100% they will have a lot of fun. I get discouraged by the parents who are against competition, prefer that all players play at the lowest level of the other players. One remark that their son needs work on his hitting, fielding etc. the parent(s), son get all bent out of shape. for the most part the parents support you but those 1-2 are a pain to deal with. I prefer coaching various sports in the travel leagues where the competition/athletes are competitive unlike LL. Unfortunately their are less teams/coaching positions in the travel arena.
