Re: How to become a switch hitter

Posted by: Bill (BillNordlund@stgeorges.edu) on Tue Feb 29 07:38:01 2000

I've been told that switch hitting is a good tool to have, especially for someone with speed like me. I'm a natural right hander, an I was wondering if anyone had any drills or anything that I can do to hit left handed as well. Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

I think the toughest in switch hitting is learning to use your legs the other way. To get your arms ready for switch hitting try swinging each bat with one hand and repeat this several times with each hand everyday. Just take many swings everyday left handed and you should pick it up.
