Seeing/Hitting the 'center' of the ball

Posted by: George (dragonet@home.com) on Mon Feb 28 16:50:59 2000

My son, almost 16, has been working with some excellent coaches during the winter. He has
been encouraged to 'swing down' and always to
keep the top hand above the lower until contact. I've noticed that lately he has been hitting
alot of ground balls. I'm not sure if it is the swinging down or if he is seeing only the top portion of the ball or both. Is there some way
or drill that can help him better locate the 'center' area of the ball?
