Hi Hitman

You make a good point. The hands (as a unit) should take a more circular path during the pulling back of the top-hand. Accelerating the bat-head in an arc (circular path) back toward the catcher is the objective of the mechanic. I have always stressed the “pulling back” of the top-hand as opposed to thrusting it forward. Although I have stated that the top-hand rotates around the bottom hand during tht (top-hand-torque), I probably should have stressed the “circular” aspect of the pull-back more.
