Re: switching styles

I have an 11 year old who uses linear mechanics and is the middle of his season. Should I wait until the season is over to start teaching rotational hitting?

How well is your son doing? Is he having fun? If he is doing terribly than it wouldn't hurt to start teaching him right away, as if you have nothing to lose. But if he is having some type of success with his current swing and is having fun, then wait until the end of the season to work on his swing.
