As far as the batters timing being thrown off, which is the pitchers job..haha. Thats a great point on your part..Thats why it's so important that once the batter strides, if they're using a stride, they MUST stride to a BALANCED position. Thats going to give them the best opportunity to make good contact even if the might have been fooled some. Another point I'd like to make is that this, in my opinion, is proof that the stride is not an element of power. It's all of the bodys components rotating arounf the bodys axis.I mean if a guy gets fooled but, strides to balanced, keeps the hands back, and drives the ball,it has absolutely nothing to do with the inclusion of a stride.
