Re: hit-a-way

Can anyone give me their thoughts on the "hit-a-way" device. It is the batting exercise that works kind of like a teather ball. After you hit the ball it wraps around the pole then unwraps and you hit it again. If any of you have tried one, please let me know what you thought of it.

Thanks,

This is an interesting question. This devise sounds like the ball is coming in on a rope and the path is circular. So the question is, since a pitched ball is thrown on a basiclly straight line, is this good practice? I have had this dicussion about softball hitters. Since the softball is thrown underhand, can softball hitters learn to hit from someone throwing overhad?? Most people say no, but dont have a reason.

I am not sure.
